Modern factory clear coats — especially Tesla's — are softer and thinner than older paint to meet environmental regulations. That makes them more prone to swirl marks from washing. The upside: soft clear corrects easily with the right pads and slower polish speeds. The fix long-term is a ceramic coating or PPF to add a sacrificial layer above the soft paint.

Not the ones we remove — those are gone for good. But unprotected corrected paint will pick up NEW swirls from future washing if you use brushes or drive-through washes.
